On July 23rd the Richmond Metropolitan Grand Prix begins it’s 5 week Summer Chess Fest. King Philidor of the Richmond Chess Initiative promises to beat all comers simultaneously. Winners and strong players may be invited to coach at a Library or Richmond Public School. Come learn how RCI is turning chess into scholarships, jobs, and business opportunities for all ages. Chess gear will be on display and for sale. These events are free, and open to players of all ages and skill levels.
