Going back to our, “Chess is ageless” Philosophy!  Praveen Balakrishnan is making his next move for scholastic champion of Va. He leads the k-12 with a section that has 2471, 2290, and 2183 as top 3.  They have 1669, 816, and 504 career games since 2008, 2009, and 2008.  They are in the 9th 10th and 9th grades respectively!

Jason Liang, a 5th grader! brings in the heat with him leading the k8 with ratings of  2068, 1762, and a 1746.  They have game records of 424, 481, and 455 since 2016!, 2012, and 2012.  They are 5th, 6th, and 8th graders respectively!  A 5th grader leading a k-8, outstanding!!  Jason is currently the sole registrant from, Belmont Station ES, Loudoun County.  So, why not!

Not to be out done is Ronen Wilson!  He jumps up a section as well in an attempt to ruin the 5 graders fun.  He leads his group in a tighter 1923, 1785, 1645 battle.  These players have 453, 196!?, and 361 career games since 2014, 2013, and 2013.  They are in the 3rd, 5th and 4th grades.  As for Ronen, there’s only 1 other registrant from Ashburn ES, Loudoun County.  He’s making the right decision as well!

Thomas Jefferson HSST, Fairfax County, Holds 9 of the 10 top seeds in the k-12.  When is someone gonna step up and make a serious commitment to copy or beat them?! (Smile)

Everyone of these kids has played more career games than me!  I “m getting old! lol
